Manchester City’s academy star Brahim Diaz has been named in Manchester City’s matchday squad for their trip to Chelsea on Saturday.
The 18-year-old has only made one first-team appearance for City as a late substitute in the League Cup third round last season, and has never played a single minute in the Premier League.

Diaz, who is considered one of Spain’s brightest young talents, was also part of Pep Guardiola’s squad for their pre-season tour of the United States this summer.
Guardiola has been forced to call upon the attacking midfielder after Sergio Aguero broke his rib in a car crash in Amsterdam on Thursday evening.
Aguero has since returned to Manchester for further checks by City’s medical team after spending the night at a hospital in Amsterdam.
The Argentina international was on his way back to the airport after attending a concert when his taxi skidded off the road and crashed into a metal pole.

Aguero attended the concert on his day off and Guardiola has dismissed questions surrounding the striker’s decision to go abroad so close to the fixture at Stamford Bridge.
‘I don’t want to know what my players do,’ said the City manager.
‘If they are fathers, they have a full responsibility on their shoulders on and off the pitch. They know what they have to do. He’s strong enough. He travelled in a private jet, so no problem.
